 A Thousand Allies

A Thousand Allies, multidirectional progressive metal band from Çanakkale/Turkey, with Erkan Cingöz on drums, Taha Ören on bass, Berkay Gülünay on any other instrument, was originally united as progressive pop band in 2016 by Berkay Gülünay and Buğra Yaşar, when they were in high school. Over the years, the band reunited in 2020 by including Özgür Kurt, who was also their high school friend, in the family. This trio was always dreaming about making progressive music like Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Megadeth etc. since 2015.

The band's goal is the create works that will leave a mark in the name of progressive music for Turkey and the world. Their 12-and-a-half-minute debut song Chaos Control was released on June 5th, 2021. After that, they released their super emotional hit single So Long, the One on July 9th, 2021.

After their latest release, they decided to shift genre due to the gap between songs before finally releasing a full-length album, they released thrash metal songs called Hold Your Breath, Resist the Twist, Disaster and Under the Cloud of Dust.

Finally, they released their first and conceptual album Abandoned Messenger on January 26th, 2024. They're currently working on their second album.
